HOW TO BUY A DIAMOND
To buy a diamond and make the correct choice, we should pay attention to 4 basic factors. The combination of these is what will determine the quality of your diamond:
1. CLARITY
2. COLOUR
3. CUT
4. WEIGHT
The quality of the diamonds in Irene Bozza pieces is a minimum of VS-G.
Clarity
This is determined by the inclusions that the diamond has.
Clarity grades:
- FL-IF: Pure under a 10x magnifying glass
- VVS1 y VVS2: Very very scarce inclusions
- VS1 y VS2: Very scarce inclusions
- SI1 y SI2: Small inclusions
- P1, P2 y P3 (o I1, I2 e I3): Inclusions that can be seen with the naked eye
Colour
This is ranked on their absence of colour
(there are coloured diamonds that are very rare).

Cut
This is the shape of the diamond. It must be kept in mind that the quality of the proportions and finish, that is the cut, is what determines the shine of the diamond. The most common cuts are brilliant, princess, baguette, emerald, oval…
Commonly the terms brilliant and diamond are confused, but now you know how to distinguish that brilliant is the size or shape of the diamond gemstone.
Weight
The unit of measurement is carats (ct) and the dimensions in millimetres. Weight is a factor that significantly affects the cost of the diamond. A carat is equivalent of 0.20 grams.
