Sustainable jewelry has a character that goes beyond the mere design of a jewel to be enjoyed with pride. We are talking about a more transcendental work with respect to our environment and how we relate to it.
It is not just a matter of finding traceable gemstones and using them in unique designs, but of knowing the history behind them, a door to the awareness of people who want a jewel with meaning, showing responsibility with their actions and decisions.
The work of a sustainable jewelry designer is twofold: on the one hand, to make each woman who wears a piece of jewelry Irene Bozza develops an emotional bond to the piece and it makes her feel special. On the other hand, to emphasize that each piece is in itself an act of awareness towards that sustainable jewelry. Because there are many jewels but with transparency about what is behind each one, they are already scarce, and this is what makes them even more exclusive.
Each piece is handmade in Cordoba (Spain), starting with a freehand sketch, then it is transformed to digital to obtain the physical piece in a 3D mold and from there begins the process of developing the piece in 18 carat gold and precious and semi-precious stones.
What is our commitment based on? On the effort to trace each stone from its origin, working only with suppliers who guarantee the traceability of the gem, and also with ethical extraction, complying with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG). We are committed to the environment, the people who participate in the whole process, the customers and to sustainable jewelry as a form of expression, design and art.
Irene Bozza can proudly share with customers that this is not an anonymous gemstone, metal or jewel, but that it has a traceability that we can know from its origin, to the hands that took the stones from the sleeping earth or from the metal that was cast by specialists with the same concerns about traceability and responsibility for the metal.
Designing ethical jewellery with full awareness is our way of understanding fine jewelry as sustainable jewellery in its entire concept, from mining to handcrafted jewellery, so that you can enjoy the designs and jewellery in a conscious and full manner.
